Why Microsoft Power BI?

Want to combine data from several sources to create dynamic, immersive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and assist your company in achieving success?

This course is intended for data and business intelligence professionals interested in learning how to conduct accurate data analysis with Power BI. Additionally, this course is intended for professionals who produce reports that show data from cloud-based and on-premises data platform technologies.

Course Outline

This course will examine several methodologies and best practices for modeling, displaying, and analyzing data using Power BI that are aligned with business and technical needs. Additionally, the course will demonstrate how to access and process data from a variety of data sources, both relational and non-relational. Additionally, this course will cover how to build appropriate security standards and rules throughout the whole Power BI ecosystem, including datasets and groups. Additionally, the course will cover how to manage and install reports and dashboards for content sharing and distribution. Finally, this course will demonstrate how to create paginated reports using the Power BI service and then publish them to a workspace for inclusion in Power BI.

Pre-Requisites

Successful Data Analysts start this role with experience of working with data in the cloud. Specifically:

1. Understanding core data concepts.
2. Knowledge of working with relational data in the cloud.
3. Knowledge of working with non-relational data in the cloud.
4. Knowledge of data analysis and visualisation concepts.
